The WDS method represents an entirely new way of thinking about education. We provide curriculum that is intensive, individualized, and student-interest-driven. WDS curriculum is carefully aligned with Connecticut's Common Core Standards.
- Typically, incoming students have not been engaged in their own education. They have become skilled at “flying under the radar” in large classes or “hiding in plain sight” in their academic setting. We change the way that students relate to, and participate in, their own education. We foster a strong educational alliance between students and their teachers, which is highly motivating.
- WDS curriculum is individually prescribed for each student, taking into account strengths, weaknesses, interests, and educational goals. WDS is a challenging and academic home for students who struggle with anxiety and other internalizing disorders. We prepare students for collegeand post high school transitions.
